The township of Meningie is well equipped with its own hospital, police station, a large well stocked supermarket (Meningie Foodland), a petrol station, two motels: The Waterfront Motel & The Lake Albert Motel, The Meningie Hotel, a bakery, hairdressers, a selection of eating establishments such as the Freshies Cafe & The Meningie Hotel and a host of sporting and community clubs including the Lake Albert Golf Club, The Meningie RSL, The Lake Albert Bowling Club just to name a few.
For those wanting something to snack on the town of Meningie also has a vast selection of takeaway food places such as Happy Daise Cafe, Breeze Cafe, Dascal Diner, The Meningie Bakery and the Ampol Roadhouse.
When coming down to Meningie especially over the warmer months make sure you pack your bathers and favourite water craft. The lake is very safe for kayaking, water skiing, sailing, fishing, chillaxing, etc.
During the winter & cooler months you can enjoy yourself around our communal camp fire, go watch the local Coorong Cats play football or netball straight across the road from the park or get in your car and go on a 4WD adventure to the Coorong and have some fun exploring.
